Your best bet is to contact the nearest university and find out if they have a dental school. If not, find out where there is one. Dental schools have clinics, and usually offer services on a sliding fee scale.
Do a search online or in the local yellow pages for dentists who specialize in low-income families in New Mexico. Ask your son's pediatrician or school for recommendations.
