This is very simple. Just google this - "dvd decoder for windows xp", there is a lot of programms for which you are looking for. Just find best for you - open source, freeware or shareware. Download it, install it, use it. Simple as that, good luck to you mate.

You could try VLC Media Player which is free and open source and does a very good job of playing DVDs.
