Start looking for reputable breeders to buy a purebred Tibetan terrier. Check on the American Kennel Club website to find breeders, and going to dog shows is also a good way to find good breeders.

The best thing you can do to find where they are is to either go talk to your vet they know the breeders and they will be able to tell you which is the best or you can do an online search of the breeders for them and go that way the vet will be able to give you history.

I think the first step would be to go to the AKC (American Kennel Club) website, from there you can find breeders that have been checked out, you know you are getting a dog from a reputable breeder, not a puppy mill. Also, google the breed and hook up with the excellent breed sites online that can guide you.

When buying a dog, avoid pet stores and newspaper ads. Check with your local Kennel Club. They should be able to put you in contact with a reputable breeder that does all of the required health testing and breeds for the betterment of the breed, not just to make money. Breed specific animal rescues are a good option.

I would look up a breeder on the internet or in the phone book. That will usually be the best place. Dogs are a little more expensive this way, but if you want a full breed of any dog that will be the best way to get a full breed Tibetan Terrier.
