William Shakespeare was baptised on the 26th of April, 1564. That is the date most people use as his birth date, but actually the exact day remains unknown.

Shakespeare was born on April 23rd, 1564. We don't actually know his birthday, but we assume he was born on that date because by knowing when he was baptized, we can guess that he was born three days prior on St. George's day, although we have no evidence of this.
