Tattoos start to itch right around the time they are beginning to heal and "crust" over. Depends on the person but I'd say it's anywhere from 5-7 days as long as it is kept moist with nonscented lotion. You must NEVER scratch off the scabs, doing so can result in problems with your tattoos color staying.

Tattoos start to itch at different times for everyone, but generally it should be about a week after getting it. It might not itch at all!

Some tattoos start itching the day after getting it done, or a few days (3-5) after. Some tattoos (if they are little) never itch at all! Your tattoo may also start peeling. It is important to not scratch your tattoo if it starts itching, or to pick at it if it starts peeling. Keep your tattoo moist and clean.

For me, My tattoo started to itch about 5 days in. It's really important that you don't scratch it, if you do the color could fade.
