Do tattoos itch?

Tattoos both itch and bleed. They need to be covered after getting them for a while to prevent scratching and infection which will ruin the tattoo.

It is pretty normal for a tattoo to itch somewhat during the healing process. This is a side affect of the skin healing. Just be sure not to scratch it or you could mess it up.

While being done, it doesn't itch, it's painful for a few minutes, then goes numb. While healing, it will itch-immensely! Make sure not to itch though, itching with the fingernails can do damage to new ink and then you will need retouching! A&D-Ointment helps with the healing and the itching!

Tattoos can itch a little bit but it's not bad. Just make sure it is covered and has gel on it.
