Do you mean disposable diapers compared to cloth diapers? Cloth diapers are still used by some people, but the initial cost to purchase the initial cost to purchase the cost diapers can be more. More and more people are living green these days, therefore going back to the traditional cloth diapers. Disposable diapers are used by many for the convenience.

The more people knew about germs, the more they became paranoid that they'd become "infected". Our society has taught us to be clean in every which way, and that involves using things only once. So we became more wasteful because of convenience and because of fear. Yes, Pampers are wasteful.
