Puppies shouldn't be allowed to chew bones until they're at least 8 weeks old. When you do give them bones, don't give them rawhide chews, give them pressed rawhide. If they swallow rawhide, it can expand in their stomach causing a blockage. Check with your vet to see what kinds of bones are safe for puppies.

Avoid feeding your puppy bones. Bones can splinter and injure your new pet. You should consult your vet to find out exactly what is appropriate to feed a puppy/little dog.

You can give them rawhide and plastic bones that you find at the store. When they start to get all mangled and chewed it just take it away and give them a fresh one. When bones splinter they can stab the dog's intestines. Never give them Pork Chop Bones.

Puppies can eat bones as soon as they get all of their teeth and are able to chew. Do not let them stop nursing before puppy is 8 weeks old. There are certain bones to be careful with when giving them to your puppy. Never give a puppy a cooked chicken bone-only give them raw ones.
