The lily is a fragrant houseplant that will thrive with lots of sunshine and a good drainage system-inside or out. When the plant's leaves wither and turn yellow, allow them to fall off. The clivia, alsoknow as the kafir or fire lily, was named after Lady Florentina Clive granddaughter of Baron Robert Clive who went on to found the English Empire in India. The fuchsia was named after German botanist, Leonhart Fux. Irises where named after Iris goddess of the rainbow. And of course there's always the rose.

Ivy is the name of a housplant and a woman. Violet, I knew of a woman named Photos, which is a plant. Lily, Rose could be grown inside.

As far as I know it's Myrtle but you can talk to your local greenhouse and they will be able to look up exactly what you want and they will even be able to tell you if there is more than one of them. They will also be able to tell you exactly how to take care of one.

Valarie Finnis is the name of the women that the house plant is named after. When plants are hybridized the person that does it is free name the variety of the plant. The genus name and species name are determined by what plats were used in the hybrid. Its not all that uncommon.
