A corn plant is so easy to prune! A corn plant has all of its new growth on the top of the stalk and if you are wanting to inhibit that growth, take a pair of clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears and just lop off the growing tip. You can do this as often as you need to!

If some pruning of the leaves of a corn plant is needed, cut the leaves at an angle only as far back as needed. If you would like to cut back the entire plant, than you can cut the stock and it will grow new leaves from the stock. These are easy to grow houseplants.

When you prune any plant the key to it is whatever you are using to prune make sure it is super sharp so it cuts straight through and doesn't rip or tear the plant on you then just cut back the overgrowth.

When the plant is that big it just means it is really healthy. You can take and cut all the brown leaves off but don't do alot of green ones.
