Compliments. Lots and lots of compliments, though you should most DEFIANTLY avoid complimenting anything related to sex - and not just because you're 14. Girls just don't like it. You can also offer to help her with anything you notice she might need, such as carrying bags/books.

Just talk to her! Make meaningful and consistent eye contact and she'll get the message. Avoid cheesy pick-up lines, but ask her about school, herself, her interests and hobbies. Compliment something you like about her appearance, personality or performance in school or sports. If you are in class together, don't hesitate to tell her when she gave a good answer!

I think that making a girl laugh is really important, since you're 14 I think you could get away with a light punch in the arm also.
