While both salads contain lettuce, tomatoes, and hard-boiled eggs, a Cobb salad has avacado, bacon, chicken breast strips, and roquefort cheese. A Chef salad has strips of ham or another deli meat, croutons, and shredded cheese (usually cheddar).
