This depends on your tastes, of course, but I would recommend the train. It's fairly inexpensive, very comfortable, and includes convenient hookups for laptops or other media. It's also a great place to meet other travellers.

Switzerland is close to France, relatively. Air travel in Europe is costly, and driving a car in has its intricacies. Train travel between large European cities is your best option.
