Nylon carpet is superior over plastic in many ways. It it is much softer and more comfortable, especially if there are small children. Carpet made from plastic may be durable however it can be very rough and can some times give off a very distinct smell. Nylon carpet can be find in a wide variety of colors and styles.

The advantage of nylon over plastic carpet is that nylon doesn't allow the water to get into the carpet so the advantage is its impermeability.

Nylon is more durable and tends be eay sier to clean than plastic carpet. Also nylon nap is easier to refluff once it has become flattened by normal traffic
