What's a good way to kill gophers?

My neighbor swears by using the mole bait that is shaped like worms. It's expensive but gets rid of moles, gophers and groundhogs. You can buy it at Lowes or Menards. They kind of look like "gummy" fishing worms. I plan on trying them soon.

Killing an animal is not always the best way to go. Try and scare them off with loud noises or fake animals statues, like ones hunters use.

Look for McGregor traps. Use dry cat food or vegetables as bait. Place the trap partway into the hole, as many traps as hole openings you can find.

First, you need to locate the holes/mounds, then pour gasoline down one side of the tunnel, light it on fire, and see if the gopher runs out to the other side. After it runs out, you can capture & release, or just kill it.
