What's a good primer base coat for a urethane bumper?

If you are going to paint a urethane bumper. Frist sand it and then apply a product called bulldog it is a adhesion promoter that will stick and paint to the bumper. Then use what ever primer the paint you are using calls for.

An quality brand such as PPG or BASF will work fine in most applications. You might want to do a little bit of research on your car to see whether or not people use flex agents in there paint. Some people will say it's require while other say to skip it. Consult with a paint shop to see what's needed.

A good quality bumper and trim adhesion primer would work well. After this is applied and cured, basecoat and clear coat can be applied over it.
