Any good audition piece depends on which role you are auditioning for. Obviously, Fagin and Oliver won't audition with the same songs. Fagin is Jewish and sings patter-song type pieces in "Oliver" so why not try "If I Were a Rich Man" from "Fiddler? For Oliver, a song written for a child such as "Ditez-moi" from "South Pacific. "

The audition piece depends on what kind of singer you are, but a good starting point would be "I'd Do Anything" would be good for a young male or female singer.
