Mark Twain had a very literal and straight forward writing style. Not a pile of elegant flowery words, usually very sarcastic, pragmatic, and to the point. He was a true observer of the common man, and often used satire as well as simple observation to make his points. Simplistic, but thoughtful.

Being an English major and being able to observe Mr. Twain I would be convinced that he is a ficitonal modern English writer. He is definetly a ficiotnal English writier due to the fact that his stories have ideals and parts to them that are completely unbeleiveable.
