Kyphoise is the medical term for "Hunchback." The hump can be caused by osteoporosis, arthritis, curvature of the spine, any deformity of the spine itself. One of the common causes of this condition is poor posture or slouching, not only in the elderly, but the young as well. Back injuries, vitamin deficiencies also are causes of this condition.

Osteoporosis is simply just one factor that can affect the posture and position of the spine. Osteoporosis causes weakening of the bones as well as 'holes' in the bone tissue causing shrinkage. Someone having poor posture as well as constantly sitting and bending over can cause a hump.

This should not be osteoporosis. You see, if you have had bad posture all your life, this can cause a weird lump in your back, also known as a hump. My best advice would be to see a doctor, who can ensure you about what this hump truely is.
