It could be neck and shoulder muscle tension which in turn spasms around the trigeminal nerve in the face causing numbness, burning and facial pain.

This combination could be caused from a pinched nerve or a vertebre that is out of place. Consult a doctor to determine the cause of this.

Face numbness and neck pain together could be caused by several factors including a pinched nerve between one of the seven cervical vertebrae in your neck, a ruptured spinal disk, or pulled or strained muscle. X-rays and a good chiropractor, followed by a good massage may solve the problem.

Many things could be causing these symptoms, worst case senerio is a stroke, any facial numbness should not be ignored. The neck pain could be related to the facial numbness or may be a part of the same condition. Many people experience mini stokes and choose to ignore those symptoms, later to have a major stroke. Seek medical attention.
