What is causing the sores on my cat's neck and face?

People do not believe that cats can get the mange, but it is possible. I believe your cat may have the mange, be careful, it is contagious to humans. The only proper way to rid the cat of the mange is to take it to the vet as soon as possible.

There could be numerous causes for sores. It could be a fungal infection, an allergy, fleas or other skin parasites. Your Veterinarian could best diagnose it with a physical exam and, if needed, a skin scraping. In the meantime, do your best to keep them clean and as dry as possible.
