Each year we thank my son's faith formation teacher by having him create a homemade card. We then enclose a gift certificate for a small amount (usually about 5-10 dollars) to a local coffee shop or ice cream parlor. This allows them to "treat" themselves.. A craft store card may also be a good idea.

Send in some nice flowers or a gift card to a nice restaurant. If you're short on cash, you can have your child make their teacher a special handmade gift! You could also make up a small gift basket if you know what sorts of things the teacher likes.
