One of the more interesting tribes in the Pacific Northwest are the Tlingit, who traditionally lived around what is now the border between Canada and Alaska. They carved beautiful totem poles and had a really fascinating history. Worth checking into.

There were many tribes that lived on the 2000 plus miles of land in what is considered the Pacific Northwest. The most notable per size were the Chinook, Haida, Nootka and Tlingit tribes which all lived within this area of America before 1800, respectively. The tribes have obviously since scattered as their ancestors are now in varied places.
