Papayas are nutritional powerhouses. A medium one about 5" long and 3" in diameter contains (U.S. RDA):
- Over 300% of Vitamin C
- 67% Vitamin A
- 22% potassium
Plus smaller amounts of Vitamin E, Calcium, Magnesium, Thiamin, Riboflavin and Niacin. In fact, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D are the only vitamins papayas are without.
