What touches would make something a "country dining room"?

I would decorate a country dining room with a plaid table cloth and table linens. Perhaps a rustic look with paintings or art of animals, like moose, bear and dear. Beeswax candles would make a nice touch in metal candle holders. Pinecones and other natural accents would make a good centerpeice.

I would start with a large oval or rectangle table with high back chairs; cover table with a lacy tablecloth. Underneath the table, I would place an oval, braided rug.
