The first time we read in the Bible about slavery is in Gen.9:24-27, where Canaan, the son of Ham, the son of Noah, was curses by God. God said that Canaan (and his descendants) would be a slave of Shem (and his descendants).

The descendants of Canaan are NOT the people of Africa. And this Scriptures certainly can not be used to enslave ANYBODY today!! I is sad the these verses were often used to defend the slavery. In Jesus Christ everybody can be free!!!
