Is is safe to try and start my Celica it is not starting and has fire and gas?

I am not sure if I should attempt to start my Celica.

Yeah you can try to start it. If the car has been sitting a while you may want to spray some engine starting fluid into the intake. It should fire right up. If not you probably have a bad fuel pump.

I would not try to start it as you might blow your car up. Have it towed to a mechanic for further inspection.

No, do not try and start your Celica if there is fire. You should take it to a shop and have it looked at.

It is not good to crank the car for long periods of time without it starting. Make sure that the timing is correct, the battery is charged, the plugs are gapped and clean, and you have fresh gas. That way you know it has a good chance of starting.
