There are plenty of snails that live in water. Examples of freshwater snails are the apple snail and the mystery snail. Both of these snails do not need dry land. They do need to come up to the surface of the water for air.

snails need to be moist or it will die and sea slugs are the only snails that live in water some are deadly and some are not
