Do snails normally inhabit ponds?

The pond in my yard is FULL of snails!

snails will inhabit any moist area with rotting debris, even if it's just a couple plants. If they really bother you, you can kill them with salt.

Yes, some snails are attracted to ponds and water. Some live on the edge of the bank of a pond. Under rocks or places that are moist and not so much wet or drenched. They will create places and homes for themselves before laying their own mollusk eggs. Snails are always found under dark, damp places.
