What size cement blocks should I use for chimney installation?

You can use normal size cement blocks for chimney installation. Normally cement blocks having 12cm long and 6cm width used for this purpose. You can also use hollow blocks for chimney installation. It is not necessary to use cement blocks. Whatever you do try to use most preferable and comfortable material for chimney installation.

That totally depends on the size of the chimney you are building and not all chimneys are made from block alot of them are made from field stone.

Yes it is required to put the chimney in cement blocks, which will give a good look to the house. it will give a pleasant atmosphere in the late evening.

You are creating a hollow core in which the smoke and gases from your fires will be vented to the outside. Once you have determine the size of the vent then the block size will need to be sufficient to structurally support the column to the height required.

I would probably use at ten by eight block if I were you. This would give your chimney the best possible look. If you use any larger it could look overdone.
