Depending on the circumstances, you might say, "I recently found a watch in your showroom" (or wherever you found it). "If a customer comes in saying they lost a watch, please contact me at 555-555-5555 (your phone number). If they describe the watch in detail, I will return it to you. Sincerely, Honest Person".

If you found it, just say where and when you did. If you're the one who lost it, describe it in as much detail as you can.

When writing about anything found, it is important to refrain from giving away too much information about what the item looks like. State the location in which it was found.

Be sure to type in the discription carefully. If you know who lost the watch then contact them by name, but if you do not and the watch is valuable, then don't say so in your letter. Hope this advice was helpful.
