What should I say if I am asked and I don't have any suggestions?

If your asked to offer suggestions and are truly stumped on the answer, you can always go with "I'd really like to know what you would suggest in this situation". While you may be demonstrating that you have nothing to contribute, you are also expressing an interest in the other person's opinion.

Just say I am sorry but I have no idea about that, and maybe suggest someone else who might have ideas for them or offer to help them find ideas of what they need to know.
