What should I look for when buying a second hand motorbike?

You should look out for rust foremost. Check the brakes of the motorbike. Make sure all the wiring are insulated and well connected. also check for the mileage of the motorbike.

You'll definitely want to check the chain, the clutch, the fuel tubing or plumbing, the gas tank (no leaks) and the spark plugs (engine condition, too rich or too lean).

Basically you want something in good shape, that rides and runs properly, and has low miles on it. Makes sure it doesn't smoke and that when riding it the steering doesn't shake. The Transmission should also shift smoothly otherwise it may have been abused.
