Look for the one that that will retain moisture and one that can allow easy spin since for oxygen is essential in making compost. It is also good to look for the one that will allow for easy emptying and at the same time give long service for the required purpose.

When lookign at a compos tumbler, look at ease of use and the possibility of pieces breaking. Look for one with the least moving parts, and the easiest to use. Try to find a unit that is made of a high grade plastic rather than a metal. Plastic will not rot or rust opposed to metal. It also lighter.
