They are alot of work. You have to bathe them often because if you dont then they smell really bad. Also they need alot of free time.

My friend had 14 ferrets and right when you walked into her house it smelled so awful!! They also like to hide your things! They took her socks and hid them under her bed so she couldnt get them! They are smelly but wont if you take care of them. They like to lounge in hammocks also!

They need to be regularly bathed. The oils in their skin that come up in the fur can smell pretty badly.
