I worked in a dentist office and I have an all porclain crown. You can not whiten procelain caps or crowns, the color that it is when they put it in, is the color it stays.

Porcelain caps cannot be whitened. The dentist matches the color to your teeth when the cap is made. To change the color, the cap would have to be replaced.

I would be very careful when whitening the porcelain caps. The best way would be to go to a dentist and have it professionally done instead of doing it yourself.

Well, they can be done but I don't think it is actually very effective. Apparently teeth that are not real, can not be whitened. You can only perform some fillings on them. That is what was told to me by my dentist. It could be a big waste of money for you.

The only way to whiten porcelain caps would be the dentist taking it off and sending it back to the lab. The porcelain would have to be stripped off and a new lighter porcelain would be applied. The dentist would have to cut through it, destroying it. You have to get just get a new one.

It can, a good way to do this would be to take off the porcelain caps, and then letting them sit in bleach.
