What should I know about teaching elementary school in the Cayman Islands?

I would think you would want to know what the envirornment is all about. What the schools are like, what they expect from their students as well as teachers.

There are onlyten elementary schools in the Cayman Islands. Teachers are required to have a bachelor's degree and elementary certification. Usually you can transfer American or Canadian certificates to the Cayman Islands. If you are not certified, institutions like Capella and Walden offer program for certifying.

Cayman islands provides free education to children aged between 4 and 16 years. The Government schools follow the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) curriculum.
