What should I know about taming a parakeet?

Taming process is long and requires a lot of patients. Never startle, hit or yell at the bird. Use its favorite treat and lots of praise.

you need the bird to trust you, everyday put your hand in the cage--slowly! with alittle bird seed in your hand. Your parakeet will soon get used to u. After a few weeks it might trust u to stand on your hand

Birds are strange and often will become friendly with one person rather than with many. You will need to spend a lot of time with the bird to get it to be tame.
