Tetras like soft water at a temperature of between 75F and 78F. They like a well planted environment plenty of places to hide. Tetras can be aggressive, so avoid housing them with more placid species. Feed a small amount of food daily.

These fish do not like bright aquariums. Feeding live foods a few times weekly will help keep their colors bright. Feed several small meals as opposed to one large one.

Well to take care of them you need to keep them in a constant cool water temperature. You need to make sure you change the water tank every week because the acidity levels can change. Don't keep them with aggressive fish as this will not be good. They need proper care.

Because these fish are artificially dyed by dipping them or injecting, they are susceptible to infections and diseases. These fish are school fish so make sure you include several extra. They are nibblers and should be fed a small amount several times daily. They don't like bright light and make sure you add some driftwood and places to hide.

Tetras prefer warmer water. Give them lots of plastic plants and treasure boxes to hide in and remember, tetras can be aggressive toward other fish!
