Cottontails are very wild animals and could come with diseases so I suggest letting the rabbit go back into the wild, but if you insist on keeping it. You should get bunny books from a local pet store and take it to a VET.

You would need to know that they need to be kept at a certain temperature (if room temp is 78-80 F then bunny should be wrapped up). On hot days the bunny cause become dehydrated quickly. These bunnies can also become very stressed. They can die from being to stressed out

Well you have to know that baby cotton tail's are very moody and that means you have to feed them well. Do not ever miss a single feeding for these rabbits because they can get very cranky. Also give them a high protein diet that they can thrive on for later.

First constantly make sure it is eating if it is that young whole cows milk slightly heated should be perfect for it and possibly something from the pet store to feed it with would make it easier. As long as it is eating regularly most other things will be easy.
