That it is better to wait instead of being induced, unless you are having medical complications or your overdue. Doctors say the longer babies are in the womb the more they develop and grow and are able to do better once they are born. So don't induce unless absolutely necessary.

Induction is said to be 3 to 4 times more painful than regular labor. They use Pitocin to start contractions and make them progress until ready to push. The use of pitocin has caused rupture of the uterus.

Generally, early induction should be avoided unless medically necessary due to either the health of the mother or baby. Induction for other reasons needs to be evaluated for safety.
