What should I know about mixing white furniture with wood furniture?

This can be a great look, but to make it look cohesive the furniture should probably be of similar styles. Darker or dark stained woods tend to look better with white than light golden ones.

Do it!! It works. Particularly using clean lines, Swedish style furniture. Take a look at Ikea, Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel- you can't lose with this look- uncluttered, easy to clean, and a total background to the creation that is your home- check out Home Beautiful mag- YOU make the rules. Antique or wicker painted white is PRECIOUS!

Well, you should know that it may not always fit well depending on the color of the look. Sometimes, this may look cheap. For elegant styles, furniture should be all of the same type. It seems more consistent.
