Generally speaking if you have an electric stove you will need to run a 220v circuit to it. This can either be 3 or 4 wire. Will need a two pole breaker of the correct amperage. Also make sure you use the correct wire size.

You should make sure that you have the right voltage to the stove. Some stoves run on 220 instead of the normal 110 volt lines in a normal kitchen. Also you want to make sure that your current circuit breakers will handle the new load. If you dont take these to issues into account, you will be very unhappy.

Before wiring a stove, find out what the stove runs on. Most stoves run on 220 volts, but not all. If wiring for 220, make sure you pick a cord that matches the available outlet and follow the instructions that come with the stove.
