What should I know about dilation and effacement in a second pregnancy?

Nothing is hardly every the same from pregnancy to pregnancy. Labor will progress how it feels like it. Cervical dilation is unpredictable.

You will still need to fully dialate and efface. With a second child this will be a much quicker process.

Dilation and effacement will be much the same as your first pregnancy, however like with children, every pregnancy is different and you may experience different symptoms or it may occur sooner in the pregnancy.

Not medical Advice: Every pregnancy ,labor and delievery is different. You can expect that you will have contraction, dilation and your water breaking. You may in your first prgnacy have it easy and the second have a rough delivery. One thing you want is a healthy wonderful baby. Good luck.
