What should I know about caring for a confederate rose?

It prefers some shade and regular watering but not soaking. Prune it down to one foot in winter and it can grow to seven feet in the summer. Use 12-4-18 or a high bloom fertilizer. Spray mag sulfate 1tbsp per gallon of water on the plant.

confederate rose requires shade and constant watering but not over watering which may lead to soaking. Prune it one foot in winter season and it may grow upto seven foot in summer season.

Roses are pretty standard they all require attention and they all require rose dust if you don't want to use the dust it will dicolor the plant mix dawn dish soap with water and spray the plant after the sun goes down in the evening.

When caring for roses in general, be sure to keep them in a place that is subjected to lots of sunlight for a majority of the day. Preferrably a spot facing south, and to make sure they get watered regularly. Watch out for Japanese beatles as well.
