Both have "snappy" or agressive tendencies. Research both breeds to better understand behavior. Talk to your vet and enroll in obedience training. Training goes a long way with any dog.

what you should probably know is that the mother had to be the pit because a chich. just would not be able to give birth to a pit mix.

Are you saying a Chihuahua and a pit bull? That would be interesting. You have an extremely small dog bred with a large dog.
