What should I do if my A/C keeps tripping a breaker?

You should really call a technician to look at it. If you want to check it out yourself you should be very careful, it is probably an electrical problem and could be a short. Check the wires carefully to see if any are chewed or cut and it could also be the compressor or a motor.

The load on the breaker needs to be checked. Too heavy a load will cause the breaker to trip. The unit may have a grounded compresser or a shorted out compresser. Reset the breaker, and if it trips again, then call a HVAC company to fix the problem.
