If Windows XP installed successfully, you can go to your device manager in your Control Panel and see which devices are either disabled or are causing conflicts.

Well devices usually conflicts due to OS compatibility or drivers version conflict. Try to install the same family devices drivers usually this works for example Sigma Tel Device family devices have many drivers familiar and can be installed on most common. But if not then appropriate driver is must. Secondly you can temporarily disable the conflicting device from device manager.

You can disable one device which you think is not required or not working properly through device manager option in control panel.
