If your device will not power on, remove the battery immediately and place the device upside down. For candybar style devices, this means the display and screen face down and for clamshell devices, open them up and place the display and screen down. Allow to dry for 24 hours. You may use a hair dryer to warm up device.

If you have dropped your Motorola phone in the pool, you should retrieve it from the pool and then remove the battery and sim card, if applicable. Turn the phone over and attempt to dry it out. Replace the battery and sim card and then if it doesn't turn on or work properly, contact your service provider.

Don't immediately turn it on. Remove the battery and submerge the phone in dry (uncooked) rice. This will absorb the moisture from the phone. Try it when completely dry.
