You need to get tested. Normally, counseling is done before you get tested to get you ready for the results. If you turn out to be positive, more counseling is done to help you start to live positively. Also, you may start taking Anti Retro viral drugs to help you continue to live a healthy life.

If you're afraid you may have HIV you need to get tested right away. Many clinics offer free testing regardless of age. Planned Parenthood is a good place to start. Your practitioner will let you know what to do after the test.

If you are scared that you have HIV you should first head to your doctor and mention this to him or her. You should also abstain from any sexual activity until you are certain about your health.
